Help for Heroes motorsport memorabilia charity auction.

To be held on EBAY commencing mid November 2009 over 10 days

LOT ONE: A copy of Memory Lanes representing a unique piece of UK motorsport memorabilia is to be auctioned in aid of the Help for Heroes charity.

This item,the only pre-production hardback version of Memory Lanes by Peter Robinson (ISBN 9780955807411) has been signed by over 55 people who were active competitors, organisers and others associated with the subject of this popular book, the Motoring News Championship between 1970 and 197.

The signatures have either been signed directly into the book or have (for obvious logistical reasons) added by way of a "sticky label".

Other signatures may well be added before the close of this auction. Altogether this is a unique collection which has taken many months to put together. The successful bidder will additionally receive a production hard back version of Memory Lanes signed by the author (value of this book is £36.50 incl. p&p) in recognition of their contribution to the nominated charity.

ALL proceeds from these two items will go to the charity HELP FOR HEROES. This charity ( reg. No. 1120920) was formed in October 2007 specifically to help all those servicemen and women who have been injured in Britain's current conflicts. LOT TWO: This is a copy of Dave Orrick's Night Moves (ISBN 0948511559) in excellent condition. Night Moves documents the Motoring News Championship (in particular its final year 1987), is long out of print and is much sort after by motor sport book enthusiasts. From a collector's perspective there is very slight delamination of the bottom right hand corner of the cover and also to the bottom edge. There is also a slight mark on the spine. I would describe the rest of the book and the rear cover as being almost in mint condition.
